The Diploma Supplement is a personal document attached to the student’s higher education diploma in order to make it easier for third parties – particularly prospective employers in other countries – to understand what the diploma means in terms of knowledge and competencies acquired by its holder. The Diploma Supplement does not replace the original diploma and does not give any entitlement to formal recognition of the original diploma by academic authorities of other countries. However, it increases the transparency of the diploma and makes it readable and comparable abroad. The Diploma Supplement improves the student’s employability and enhances his/her access to labour markets abroad. Information on the student mobility for studies successfully completed by the VUM students is added to their Diploma Supplement.
