Internship Experience at Küchenwerkstatt Restaurant, Juist Island, Germany
We are happy to share another inspiring testimonial from our student Pavel Arefev, a 2nd-year student in our International Hospitality Management programme, who has recently completed his traineeship in Germany.
“I recently completed a four-month internship at Küchenwerkstatt, a renowned restaurant located on the picturesque island of Juist, Germany. During this time, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of hospitality and gain valuable experience in various aspects of the restaurant industry.
Throughout the internship, I learned the essential operations and structure of the restaurant business. This included everything from understanding how a restaurant is managed to the importance of smooth communication with guests. I also gained hands-on experience working at the bar, learning the ins and outs of bartending, and familiarizing myself with the role of a bartender, as well as that of a waiter.
The four months I spent at Küchenwerkstatt were incredibly beneficial. I not only acquired new skills but also formed strong connections with colleagues from various backgrounds. The experience was an enriching one, and I highly recommend this type of internship to anyone looking to gain practical knowledge in the restaurant business.
In conclusion, my time at Küchenwerkstatt was both educational and rewarding, leaving me with valuable insights and a network of professionals that I will carry forward into my career.”
