Hello,
My name is Sara Skana and I’m a second-year student from Albania studying Bank Management at  Aleksander Moisiu University. I was fortunate enough to become part of the Erasmus+ programme  here at VUM. I will now talk about my experience with this program.
It all started when my application got approved by VUM and I had the realisation that a great opportunity was granted to me. It was one of the biggest challenge I had faced in my life. Starting by the fact that I would live on my own away from my family for four whole months in a foreign place for which I knew little to nothing about. It was scary but exciting at the same time.
I arrived to Bulgaria on the 1st of February and I am glad to say that since that first day until the last one it was an unforgettable experience. From meeting new people from all over the world to exchanging our cultural differences, to sharing memorable moments together and learning lots of new things, this four month journey holds a special place in my heart.
I would like to invite other students from all over the world who have a chance to apply but are hesitating for one reason or another, to grasp this opportunity as it is a once – in a – lifetime experience. Bulgaria is a beautiful country with a lot of history and amazing places to visit that one shouldn’t miss out on.
I am very happy and grateful for everything especially the teachers and the staff for making my stay more pleasant and the learning easier despite the unfavourable conditions during the pandemic. I hope that what I wrote here reaches the hearts and minds of other students who are looking forward to be part of this project.
Thank you for everything VUM, thank you BULGARIA!
