From July 8 to July 13, 2024, VUM welcomed a delegation of nine academic and administrative representatives from the University of Danang (UDN), Vietnam, for a staff mobility programme supported by the Erasmus+ programme.
The staff training in Leadership and Change Management in Academic Settings provided an opportunity for colleagues from UDN and VUM to exchange expertise, explore institutional practices, and strengthen international cooperation.
The training programme addressed key aspects of effective leadership and change management, including the distinction between leadership and management, inclusive leadership, employee engagement, organisational change, change management models, and the challenges of implementing change within academic institutions. Throughout the week, the participants took part in a series of training sessions led by Dr Violina Ratcheva.
The sessions encouraged participants to examine real-world challenges, share perspectives, and consider practical approaches that could be adapted to their own professional environments. These activities supported intercultural awareness and helped strengthen connections between colleagues from Vietnam and Bulgaria.
By combining professional training, intercultural exchange, and discussions on institutional development, the mobility strengthened the partnership between VUM and the University of Danang and created opportunities for broader cooperation.
