In early April 2024, VUM welcomed 15 academic and administrative representatives from Kimyo International University in Tashkent (KIUT), Uzbekistan, for a staff mobility programme focused on strengthening expertise in higher education leadership, internationalisation, and innovation. The mobility was organised within the Erasmus+ framework.

The course was a set of trainings and seminars focused on three main topics:
Strategic and Leadership Challenges in Higher Education — examining contemporary approaches to institutional leadership, strategic decision-making, and the challenges facing universities in a rapidly changing educational environment.
Current Trends in Transnational Education and Higher Education Internationalization — exploring international cooperation, transnational education models, and strategies for strengthening the global dimension of higher education.
Innovation Management in Higher Education — focusing on approaches to managing innovation and supporting the development of more adaptable, forward-looking academic institutions.
The diverse KIUT delegation included course leaders, department heads, associate professors, lecturers, and academic administration specialists representing areas such as tourism, international marketing, business management, international economic relations, management, marketing, finance, accounting, banking, and academic affairs. Representatives also joined the programme from KIUT’s Namangan and Samarkand branches.
By bringing together professionals from different academic and administrative fields, the mobility created a valuable platform for sharing institutional practices, discussing common challenges, and exploring new approaches to higher education development.
The visit also strengthened the growing cooperation between VUM and KIUT, with both institutions committed to further collaboration in education, internationalisation, innovation, and academic exchange.
The cooperation between VUM and KIUT continues to grow, creating new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and joint initiatives.
