A Traineeship on Tenerife – A Dream that Came True!

What is it like to spend your summer internship on a Spanish island in a Michelin-starred restaurant? 🌞🌴🍴 Today, our student Petar Borisov, a first-year in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, shares his experience from participating in student mobility for traineeship supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.

“This is my first time visiting Tenerife, and I can say that it is simply magnificent. This place is a true paradise, captivating with its incredible beauty. My time at The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama, Spain, has been an amazing experience, allowing me to immerse myself in the hotel’s international family atmosphere.

Working in the kitchen, I am learning new techniques and applying the knowledge I gained during my training at the Culinary Arts Institute. The experience is further enhanced by the opportunity to work alongside the team of M.B. Restaurant, which is renowned for its Michelin-starred excellence. Although the work is often stressful, it helps me remain composed and achieve my goals within the given time frame.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to complete my internship here, and I am eagerly looking forward to next summer when I will have the chance to spend time in another part of the world.”
