From 30 June 2025 to 4 July 2025, the Varna University of Management team had the pleasure to welcome the physical component of the Blended Intensive Programme “Championing Cultural Diversity in Higher Education: Building Tolerance and Safe Spaces for Learning“. We were delighted to welcome a very diverse group of participants coming from Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Romania, Uzbekistan, and
Malaysia.
The activity was led by the VUM lecturers Nedka Dimitrova and Ireene Leoncio, and explored topics as the concept of cultural and cultural dimensions, empathy and self-awareness in the context of intercultural communication and working in diverse groups of colleagues and students.
In the framework of the training, the participants had the opportunity to visit the training restaurant at VUM and try signature dishes of the Programme Director of The Culinary Arts Institute at the Varna University of Management.
